My family and I have called Granby home for nearly 15 years, and all of my children are proud graduates of Granby Memorial High School. My husband, Terry, works as an executive with RTX, and I’ve spent my career as both a lawyer and a teacher — experiences that shape the way I serve our schools and community.
Before joining the Board of Education, I was active in town as a Rovers soccer coach, youth lacrosse team manager, board member of the Granby Football Parents’ Organization, and a long-term substitute at
GMHS. On the BOE over the past four years, I’ve served as Secretary, Vice President, Chair of the Finance Committee, and a member of the Building Committee during the high school remodel and roof replacement. I’ve also been part of leadership hiring and contract negotiations for teachers, administrators, and maintenance staff.
As a teacher, I know the importance of supporting both students and educators so every child can succeed. As a lawyer, I bring negotiation skills and policy knowledge. And as a taxpayer, I am committed to fiscal responsibility.
Looking ahead, my goal is to continue working collaboratively with the BOE, BOS, and BOF to find efficiencies while ensuring we can offer competitive salaries to retain our teachers. By focusing on the basics and supporting educators, we can continue improving student achievement across Granby schools.
